TRC SYNERGY BERHAD

TRC Building, the one that we can see when we entered Ukay Perdana, always intrigue me...

TRC Building

First, when I first saw the building probably some 3 or 4 years ago, I thought it was a mosque or Islamic Centre etc due to its imposing dome.

Second, looking at this building at night (more exactly looking at the staircase inside the building) somehow gave me the spooky feeling that someone, or 'something' is about to return the look...

The staircase

Anyway this posting is not about me and my imagination, this posting is about probably the only listed company in which the HQ is at Ukay Perdana.

TRC SYNERGY BERHAD ('TRC')

TRC is a construction company listed at Bursa Malaysia in year 2002. TRC;s flagship projects are Parlimen's upgrading, few airports upgrading and the building of Maritime Enforcement Training Facility at Kuantan and list goes on.

For record, Ukay Tropika, a super terrace house opposite to Tijani Ukay was built by TRC.

Founder and major shareholder of TRC is Tan Sri Dato Seri Sufri bin Haji Mohd Zin, a banker by training (SCB and Bank Bumi)

All my best to TRC!

CRICKET AT UKAY PERDANA

I always imagine that cricket in Malaysia is only played at Dataran Merdeka since from my observation all fields in Malaysia is either being used to play football or used as a car parking space.

I was surprised today to see that one field at Ukay Perdana, the one next to Wednesday's night market, is being used to be an avenue of a cricket game.

Wow! who could have guessed it. we have our own Sachin Tendulkar at our own backyard!

Below are 3 pictures I took from a safe distance...(as usual).

UKAY PERDANA NIGHT MARKET

On every Wednesday night, next to a field located at the Ukay Perdana's rows of shops (the Ali Maju's side), without fail, there will be a Ukay Perdana Night Market.

Easily there are about 100 stalls selling from foods, fruits to IT gadget. Anything under the sun with exception on guns, drugs, nuclear reactor and slaves.

What I like about Ukay Perdana Night Market are the location (which is a walking distance from my apartment) and its wide pedestrian walk in between stalls

Below are pictures of Ukay Perdana Night Market.

Well, those pictures shows two things. First, I , the Mr photographer, am yet able to master the skills to take night picture and second, it shows that I am yet having the courage to take picture from close up ( I prefer to take pics from a safe distance! :)).

Need to improve on that.

Anyway this posting is not about me, a pathetic photographer but more of Ukay Perdana Night Market.

My pictures failed to really captured its vibrant and peaceful chaotic moment any night market could offer, still, if you happened to be around Ukay Perdana on Wednesday night, do pay this night market a visit, you will not regret it!

EKVE (EAST KLANG VALLEY EXPRESSWAY)

We all can see it, the 'Selangor snake'...a.k.a. the red and white red divider that is currently curling and choking our one and only Ukay Perdana Road.

The Road Divider

From some simple internet searching, the Ukay Perdana road is one of the link in EKVE Project to ease Klang Valley's traffic jam. Ukay Perdana's road will be widen from currently 2 lanes to 3 lanes.

Date of completion? Depend on where you read...anywhere from 2017 to 2019...

a.k.a The Selangor Snake

So I guess we have to bear with dusty road, construction noises, occasional 2 lanes become 1 lane...for next 3 years.

The road construction site

Hmmm :(

D UKAY BURGER

It is simple. You cannot claim that you are a citizen of Ukay Perdana if you have never taste D Ukay Burger.

Located in front of the 7-11 shop and 'a stone throw' from Hong Leong Bank, Ukay Perdana...you can't miss it.

The location

It is not the best burger stall in Malaysia (for me the best is the one at Jitra) but it is clear, it is the best burger stall at Ukay Perdana/ Bukit Antarabangsa area.

Busy time!

They are fast, consistent and friendly.

Unlike the other burger stall at Ukay Perdana  (let's not named name, ok and avoid litigation) who will serve you with a long, sour face and will remind you two times that he is busy and will take forever to complete your order...

The reasonable price

I was informed that the owner of D Ukay Burger is Kak Liya and she got two burger stalls under her portfolio, the other one is at Jalan Ipoh.

The one at Ukay Perdana has been operating for more than ten years.

The side dishes, delicious nasi lemak!

Good luck and all the best to D Ukay Burger!

WELCOME TO UKAY PERDANA

Ukay Perdana is a heaven on earth, strategically located at hilly and cool Melawati Hill...where on most early morning (and late afternoon too!) you can see a pair of storks or ibis do a low flyover...or on occasional good days, group of monkeys curiously looking for food at dustbins.

Anyway...Lets start from where Ukay Perdana begin.

The Ukay Perdana Arch.

Below is a Ukay Perdana arch to welcome you here.

This blog is about what happened behind above arch.
